The problem: MBC’s Women’s Ministry wanted help creating a community for women and sharing encouragement with their followers. Beyond that, they needed help dedicating the time to creating, posting, and interacting on social media in a way that meaningfully connected with women who were seeking help, hope, and friendship.
My approach: I reviewed MBC’s brand goals, target audience, and upcoming calendar of events. Once I understood what events were planned and who the perfect audience was, I started building social media posts. After posting bible verses, event invitations, live photos from events, and responding to all the comments and DMs, the account grew quickly. Now, their social media has a large following of dedicated fans from all across the country, excited to see what’s happening next at the church.
The numbers: From May 2017 – April 2018 I created content for Instagram and Facebook, sharing ministry-sponsored events, church updates, and daily devotional and motivational posts. Over the year, the following increased by 620%, and engagement increased by more than 5000%, resulting in growth in attendance for events.
