When picking out what to wear on Thanksgiving day, comfort is key. Think cozy sweaters in fall colors paired with stylish jeans or even leggings if you want to go super casual. Accessorize your look with cute jewelry or scarves for an extra touch of style. If you’re looking to dress up a bit more, think cardigans and maxi dresses with ankle boots or tall boots.

Thanksgiving outfit ideas for kiddos

We all know that the little ones want to be part of the Thanksgiving day fun too, and what better way to include them than by dressing them up in cute and comfortable outfits!

When it comes to picking out the perfect Thanksgiving day attire for your kiddos, think fall colors like reds, oranges, yellows, and browns to add a festive touch. If you have a little girl, consider dressing her up in an adorable dress with matching accessories like headbands or bows. And for the boys, comfy pants paired with a cute sweater or button-up shirt are a great option.

Don’t forget to snap lots of pictures of your little ones (and of course, you too!) in their festive outfits! But, take those pictures quickly because we all know how kids have a way of getting their outfits dirty in a snap.

Thanksgiving Home Decor

Thanksgiving isn’t just about the food. Really, it’s about creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere for you to spend time with people you’re thankful for. One easy way to make your holiday extra cozy is with thoughtful decorations on your dinner table.

The first thing to consider when decorating your table is the color scheme. Earthy tones such as browns, oranges, yellows, and reds work well to create a warm and inviting ambiance.

One popular trend for Thanksgiving table decor is to use natural elements like leaves, branches, and pumpkins. You can place a few branches or leaves down the center of the table and sprinkle some mini pumpkins for a festive touch. Another great idea is to use a table runner or tablecloth in a plaid or checkered pattern.

To add some sparkle to your table, consider using metallic accents such as gold or copper candle holders or chargers. These will catch the light and create a warm glow. Don’t forget to add some candles to your table for a cozy ambiance.

Finally, consider adding some personalized touches to your table decor. You could create place cards with each guest’s name written on them, or you could tie a small thank you note around the napkin. These thoughtful touches will make your guests feel special and appreciated.

You’re sure to impress your guests and create a warm and inviting atmosphere for your holiday feast!

My favorite Thanksgiving traditions

Thanksgiving is all about family traditions. One of my favorite traditions is waking up early to go on a turkey trot with my mom and sister (and now Aubrey, too!!). We bundle up in our cozy clothes and sip on some spiked hot chocolate as we walk, catching up and getting excited for what’s in store for the rest of the day. It’s a great way to start the morning and burn off some calories before indulging in all the delicious food.

Another tradition I have is making a non-traditional appetizer to snack on while football is on and the turkey is cooking. Last year’s was buffalo chicken dip, and it was a hit! It’s always fun to switch things up and add some new flavors to the traditional Thanksgiving menu. Plus, snacking on something savory and delicious while watching the game is the perfect way to pass the time before the main event.

All that’s left to do is give thanks!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because there are so many opportunities to gather with family and friends – I just love it! With these tips in hand, you’ll be well-equipped to host the best Thanksgiving ever! From planning delicious dishes that everyone will enjoy eating to dressing in style and finding festive ways to entertain guests young and old, this guide has everything you need to host an unforgettable holiday celebration!

Happy Thanksgiving! ️
